Renovado Kia Sportage já está à venda, mas apenas na Coreia

Kia has revealed the first images of the revamped Sportage in South Korea, the SUV that, three years after the launch of its fifth generation, has now undergone a restyling, and is already on sale in the South Korean market.

The revamped Sportage presents a more elegant appearance with a redesigned front, following the example of the brand’s latest models, featuring vertical headlights, larger air intakes, and a refreshed grille.

In profile, the changes are less noticeable compared to its predecessor, with new fenders and a new design for the alloy wheels that range between 17 and 19 inches.

The rear features LED taillights with new graphics and a redesigned bumper. However, the X-Line version stands out for being equipped with sportier bumpers, additional black details, and exclusive 19-inch wheels.

These changes introduced to the revamped Sportage are not limited to the long-wheelbase variant shown in the images, which will be available in the markets of Korea, Australia, and North America. It is expected that the same design will be applied to the shorter version of the Sportage that will arrive in the European market next year.

Inside, the revamped Sportage comes more technologically advanced, benefiting from a curved digital cockpit that combines two 12.3’’ screens and a new head-up display.

There is also a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel, slimmer air vents, and new ambient lighting. Additionally, the revamped Kia SUV is equipped with

Moreover, it features foldable mirrors, a 3D camera, lane change assist, and emergency braking, which join an extensive list of driving assistance systems.

Regarding the engine, in Korea, the revamped Kia Sportage will be available with a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine producing 180 hp, paired for the first time with an eight-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter.

The hybrid variant combines a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 180 hp and a 64 hp electric motor. Kia has announced that it has improved the regenerative braking of this variant, allowing drivers to adjust the braking intensity using paddles mounted on the steering wheel.

The Korean market will also feature a version with a 2.0-liter bifuel GPL engine producing 46 hp and front-wheel drive.
