Richard Childress Racing (RCR) veteran Kyle Busch has endured a disappointing 2024 season, missing out on extending his impressive 20-year win streak, and he’s eyeing 2025 as a year of potential resurgence. Despite a hopeful start following three wins in 2023, RCR struggled to find the pace needed to compete at the top this season. To bounce back, RCR is shaking things up for next year, bolstering its ranks with talented crew members from other teams, including the soon-to-be-defunct Stewart-Haas Racing.
Busch, who joined RCR in 2023, is optimistic about the team’s future and eager to build a winning squad for 2025. “There were some really good folks over there [at Stewart-Haas Racing] that have taken positions with us, so we’re excited to get them on board and get them in and start the process,” Busch shared. With a new crew and renewed focus, Busch and his team hope to reignite the competitive spirit that RCR fans have longed for this season.
However, one piece of news has left fans and Busch disappointed. For the second consecutive season, Netflix’s “NASCAR: Full Speed” docu-series has left Busch off the filming roster. Busch, known for his fiery personality and fan-favorite status, didn’t hold back in expressing his surprise. “No, they didn’t ask me,” he said in a recent interview. “Maybe it comes down to that you must be in the playoffs to be on video… I don’t know, but I think my story of the 20-year thing would be a pretty good one. But they’re not following along, so you won’t see much of me.”
Busch’s exclusion from the series has sparked disappointment among his fanbase, who have been eager to see the two-time Cup Series champion’s journey featured on the platform. If Netflix decides to continue “NASCAR: Full Speed” for another season in 2025, many hope they’ll reconsider and include Busch, who’s still got plenty of racecraft and stories left to share.
With a retooled RCR team and some major changes on the horizon, Kyle Busch is ready to take on 2025—and perhaps, finally secure a spot in the NASCAR docu-series fans have been calling for.
