Sergio Perez endured a painful Mexican Grand Prix, finishing 17th and facing questions about his future with Red Bull. But the Mexican driver isn’t backing down, promising fans that he’ll be back to fight for a win at his home race next year, even as his performance raises concerns about his seat at Red Bull.

The weekend was marred by braking issues for Perez, particularly with lock-ups on the straights, which kept him from setting a competitive lap and led to an early Q1 exit. Red Bull acknowledged the mechanical setbacks but couldn’t resolve the problem before race day, resulting in another tough finish for Perez at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Perez’s recent struggles have fueled speculation about his role with Red Bull, especially as team principal Christian Horner hinted at potential lineup changes for 2025. Despite this, Perez remains confident, stating, “I will be back here fighting for the win next year.”

The unwavering support of his home crowd helped lift Perez’s spirits, as fans waved Mexican flags and chanted his name throughout the race. He later shared that the passionate support fuels his determination to one day win on home soil, saying, “It’s my dream to win the Grand Prix in Mexico, and I’ll try again next year.”

While Red Bull has slipped from first to third in the Constructors’ standings due to inconsistent performances, Perez remains undeterred. He’s focused on regaining his form and proving he belongs in Red Bull’s lineup for 2025, setting the stage for what could be a pivotal season in his career.
