Harrison Burton’s NASCAR Cup Series journey takes a new direction this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway as he partners with a new crew chief following Jeremy Bullins’ departure from Wood Brothers Racing. Bullins, a seasoned Team Penske crew chief since 2012, has stepped down to explore other opportunities, leaving a legacy of 10 Cup Series wins, achieved with every driver he’s worked with, including Burton, Austin Cindric, and Brad Keselowski.

“We respect his decision and wish him the best,” stated Team Penske, acknowledging Bullins’ significant contributions over the years. Bullins’ career highlights include working with Ryan Blaney at Wood Brothers, a partnership that continued when Blaney moved in-house to Penske in 2018. He later joined Keselowski in 2020, and most recently returned to Wood Brothers to guide Burton.

Grant Hutchens, Burton’s lead engineer, will step into the interim crew chief role for the remaining three races of the season. Burton, who secured a playoff berth by clinching the 100th race win for Wood Brothers at Daytona, sits 16th in the championship standings.

Wood Brothers Racing is also undergoing other changes, with Josh Berry set to replace Burton in the No. 21 Ford Mustang in 2025 as Stewart-Haas Racing shuts down. However, Berry’s future crew chief remains unknown.

As for Burton, his career path leads back to the NASCAR Xfinity Series next season, where he will race with AM Racing, eager to continue building his experience and success.
