Ferrari’s Form Reignited: Can the Reds Snatch the Constructors’ Title in a Stunning Comeback? – Toto Wolff believes so

Ferrari has returned to the spotlight in Formula 1, coming back stronger than ever since the summer break. With an impressive points haul over recent races, the Maranello team now has Mercedes, McLaren, and even Red Bull taking notice as it charges up the Constructors’ standings ahead of this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix.

The turnaround for Ferrari has been nothing short of remarkable. Last weekend in Austin, they executed a masterful 1-2 finish despite starting from P3 and P4, trimming McLaren’s lead to just 48 points. This resurgence has drawn praise from Mercedes’ team principal Toto Wolff, who is now backing Ferrari as a serious title contender. “Ferrari are the fastest today. If they continue like this, they can win the Constructors’ title,” Wolff stated, recognizing the recent power of the SF-24 as perhaps the best car on the grid.

Ferrari’s strong form was evident again in Friday’s practice, where they topped the timing sheets in FP2. Now, the focus shifts to today’s qualifying, where they aim to start from the front row to secure another shot at victory in Sunday’s 71-lap showdown.

Charles Leclerc, reflecting on Ferrari’s progress, noted how far the team has come in recent years. “We are just motivated and happy about the actual situation. We are in a good place, and we’re working in the right direction,” said Leclerc, emphasizing the team’s newfound composure. The 27-year-old credited this shift for Ferrari’s ability to perform under pressure, a trait that is now fueling their fight for podiums and wins.

With Ferrari’s momentum and Wolff’s endorsement, fans are bracing for a thrilling qualifying session in Mexico. If Ferrari can continue this form, the Constructors’ Championship could be heading toward one of its most dramatic finales in recent memory.
