There are anniversaries that are celebrated with a dinner. Lamborghini celebrated its 63rd anniversary with a 1,065-horsepower roadster. And it did so with a logic that only makes sense in Sant’Agata: the number 63 echoes the year the brand was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini, in 1963, and that alone justifies that the occasion deserves something extraordinary. The result is called Fenomeno Roadster, it is the most powerful convertible that Lamborghini has ever built, and only 15 people in the entire world will have the luck, and the financial resources, to drive it.

Exclusivity is twice as radical as that of the Fenomeno coupe that was presented in August 2025. While that model was limited to 30 units, all of which are already sold, the Roadster cuts the production in half. Fifteen cars. Fifteen buyers. A waiting list that certainly does not exist, because those who have access to this type of car do not wait for anything.

There is no retractable roof, removable panel, or any intermediate solution. The Fenomeno Roadster is permanently open to the sky, and Lamborghini’s designers took advantage of this freedom to do things that the closed body of the coupe simply did not allow. The side windows have been cut to give an even more aggressive and feline profile. A small carbon fiber spoiler positioned at the rear edge of the windshield manages the airflow over the cabin. And the engine cover has been completely redesigned with two aerodynamic bulges that emerge behind the headrests and also serve as protection in the event of a rollover. Lamborghini claims that the work done on the car’s upper surfaces and the new aerodynamic elements allowed the Roadster to match the downforce, stability, balance, and cooling values of the coupe. The additional weight of eliminating the roof has been reduced to just a few kilograms, an engineering achievement that is not trivial for a carbon fiber body of this size.

The launch model’s paint is a statement of historical identity. The Blu Cepheus contrasted with Rosso Mars details and a generous amount of exposed carbon fiber pays homage to the civic colors of Bologna, blue and red, and directly evokes the 1968 Miura Roadster, the first convertible in Lamborghini’s history. It is a direct line between the past and the present that the brand draws with full awareness and intention.

The interior follows a black and red theme with graphic details in the shape of a Y and intricate contrast stitching, in complete harmony with the brand’s current design language. It is a cabin that makes no concessions to conventional comfort but offers everything a driver focused on the driving experience could desire.

The heart of the Fenomeno Roadster is the same that beats in the coupe: the most powerful 6.5-liter atmospheric V12 engine in Lamborghini’s history, with 824 horsepower and 725 Nm of torque, accompanied by three electric motors. Two of them are installed on the front axle, while the third is integrated into the dual-clutch transmission with eight gears. The 7 kWh battery powers the entire electrical system. The sum of all this results in a combined 1,065 horsepower, surpassing the 1,001 horsepower of the standard Revuelto. The performance figures are virtually identical to those of the coupe: zero to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, zero to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, just one-tenth of a second slower than the closed-roof version. The top speed exceeds 340 km/h, compared to 350 km/h of the coupe, a difference that no driver under legal driving conditions will ever feel.

The price has not been officially disclosed, but the Fenomeno Roadster is part of a gallery of ultra-rare convertibles from Lamborghini that includes the Reventon, the Veneno, the Centenario, and the Sián Roadster, all of which today are worth multiples of their original selling price and are highly sought after by the greatest car collectors on the planet. Meanwhile, Lamborghini is already working on another equally anticipated project: the Temerario Spyder, with a retractable hardtop and a plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a V8 engine, is being developed and has already been spotted during testing. The world’s most exclusive roadster has been revealed. The next chapter of this story is already being written.
