Toyota’s motorsports division in North America will soon operate under a new banner, as the brand announces a significant rebranding to Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) beginning in 2025. This strategic shift aligns Toyota’s North American motorsports efforts with its global Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) initiative, further emphasizing its dedication to performance, innovation, and the “ever-better” car philosophy.

The newly branded Toyota Gazoo Racing North America will continue to rely on the technical and engineering support of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) across all racing disciplines, ensuring that the legacy of engineering excellence carries on under the TGR banner.

Paul Doleshal, Group Manager of Motorsports at Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), emphasized the importance of this transition:

“The transition to Toyota Gazoo Racing is an opportunity for our world-class racing program to better align with Toyota’s global motorsports efforts while simultaneously continuing the championship-level results we’ve earned under the previous banner here in the U.S.,” Doleshal said.

He also highlighted Toyota’s commitment to utilizing motorsports as a development platform for its consumer vehicles. “Globally, the efforts of GR Company and Toyota Gazoo Racing is a philosophy of utilizing motorsports to build ever-better production vehicles, pushing machinery to the limits on track so the production cars are more capable and reliable.”

Toyota’s NHRA and Formula DRIFT teams are already competing under the Toyota Gazoo Racing banner, and IMSA and SRO drivers have also been representing TGR through the GR Supra GT4 EVO. The transition will bring Toyota’s NASCAR entries, which use the Camry nameplate in the Cup Series and the GR Supra in the Xfinity Series, under the TGRNA umbrella. The Craftsman Truck Series teams will continue to compete with the Tundra and TRD Pro badge, while off-road vehicles will retain the TRD nameplate.

Toyota’s rebranding to Toyota Gazoo Racing North America marks a major move toward aligning the company’s global motorsports vision, enhancing the connection between track performance and consumer vehicle development.
