Alfa Romeo has decided to update the Tonale for 2025, with some adjustments to make the Italian SUV more competitive.
The refreshed Tonale has now been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, and to be honest, at first glance, everything looks the same, as the Italian brand chose to keep the exterior lines of the Tonale unchanged.
Thus, it is inside that the innovations appear, including a redesigned center console, a new rotary selector for the automatic transmission that replaces the traditional lever, contributing to a more elegant look, and a fully digital instrument panel that creates a more technological atmosphere in the interior of the Italian SUV.
The refreshed Tonale now offers a range structure composed of two trim levels (Sprint and Veloce) with a clear and strongly customer-oriented approach, while the available engines have been reduced to three instead of four, with the 1.5 Hybrid variant with 130 hp being excluded.
Thus, access to the 2025 Tonale range will now be through a 1.5 hybrid engine with 160 hp, while the 1.6 Turbo Diesel variant with 130 hp and the Q4 Plug-In Hybrid with 280 hp will remain available.
The model on display at the Paris Motor Show is the Veloce version in Hybrid configuration, featuring a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine with variable geometry turbo (VGT) producing 160 hp, paired with a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, along with a “P2” 48-volt electric motor providing 20 hp and 55 Nm, capable of driving the wheels even when the internal combustion engine is turned off.
