C5 Aircross Concept antecipa um SUV compacto pensado para a família

Citroën unveiled the C5 Aircross Concept at the Paris Motor Show, which anticipates what could be the next SUV from the brand aimed at the C segment, expected to hit the market in 2025.

The C5 Aircross Concept presents itself as “a dense unit with generous volumes, highlighting the simplicity of the overall silhouette”, while also emphasizing the new identity of the French brand and a more modern style.

With a length of 4.65 m (+15 cm compared to the current C5 Aircross) and a height of 1.66 m, this concept reveals lines and shoulders that give it a design that is both sleek and full of energy, with a front section shaped vertically to incorporate the new logo, expressing the brand’s strong vision. The silhouette is based on wider tracks with pronounced shoulders, giving it a strong and assertive presence.

The rear section has been specially designed to improve aerodynamic performance. The roof is sloped, and the cabin is curved at its upper section. The French brand states that the design is inspired by the world of technology and electronic devices, particularly in its approach to cooling and ventilation. The presence of these striated bicolored elements on the rear panel helps to direct airflow.

Citroën has not revealed the interior of this C5 Aircross Concept, but it promised that it will be spacious, lounge-style, offering high levels of comfort for five passengers, and also promises a serene and connected driving experience to accompany families in their multifaceted lives.

Although it is a study, this C5 Aircross concept is based on the new STLA-Medium platform, the same one used by the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 as well as the Opel Grandland, which will be used for the first time by Citroën, and it can integrate all types of powertrains to adapt to all use cases: combustion, hybrid, or 100% electric.

This platform also allows users to benefit from a range of driving aids and a high-tech connectivity and infotainment interface.
