Briatore Declares Colapinto's Miami Performance a Game-Changer for Alpine!

In a thrilling display of racing prowess, Alpine emerged as a formidable force during the Miami Grand Prix, securing their position as the clear fifth team on the grid. The weekend was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both drivers making headlines in their quest for glory.

Alpine's performance was nothing short of impressive, as both Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto reached the final qualifying sessions on both Friday and Saturday. The results were striking: while Gasly managed to snag a crucial point on Saturday, it was Colapinto who stole the show on Sunday with an exhilarating performance that netted him six points. This showcased not just individual talent but a cohesive team effort that's propelling Alpine forward in the highly competitive landscape of Formula 1.

Flavio Briatore, Alpine's astute advisor, expressed his mixed feelings about the weekend's outcomes. He noted, “For Pierre, it's a disappointing result because the car was clearly competitive for points here, but we lost this opportunity due to an avoidable incident. Pierre fell victim to a significant misjudgment by another driver, but thankfully, he emerged unscathed, thanks to the modern safety features of Formula 1.”

However, the spotlight shone brightly on Colapinto, whose performance was exactly what the team had been hoping for. Briatore praised him, stating, “Franco concluded a truly positive week, racing at the level we expect from him every race weekend. The car is competitive, and it's these performances we need from both drivers and the entire team, week in and week out, to achieve our goals.”

Currently positioned fifth in the Constructors' Championship, Alpine has successfully overtaken Haas, demonstrating a significant leap in competitiveness. As Briatore confidently declared, “We are looking ahead, not back, to what we can achieve.”

With two weeks to analyze and prepare for the Canadian Grand Prix, the team is keen to address the performance discrepancies that prevented Gasly from maximizing his potential. Briatore added, “We have a lot to analyze in the lead-up to Canada, especially concerning some of the car updates that may not have provided Pierre with the performance boost we anticipated.”

In a final note of commendation, Briatore acknowledged the swift actions of the FIA and Formula 1, emphasizing their decisive move to adjust the race schedule and ensure that the event proceeded smoothly despite the looming weather concerns.

As Alpine gears up for the challenges ahead, one thing is clear: the Miami weekend has set the stage for a fierce battle as they strive for championship glory. With Colapinto's stellar performance and a resilient team spirit, Alpine is ready to make waves in the upcoming races!
