ANDROID AUTO 11.3 SPOTTED ONLINE! DOWNLOAD NOW!

ANDROID AUTO 11.3 BETA NOW AVAILABLE FOR TESTING

Android Auto 11.3 is gearing up for its official release, but before that happens, Google wants to ensure that it is thoroughly tested. The beta version of Android Auto 11.3 is now live for users enrolled in the beta program, and even if you’re not part of the program, you can still try it out by sideloading the APK on your device.

The installation process is quick and easy. All you need to do is manually download the APK installer and store it on your Android device. Once that’s done, tap on the installer to initiate the installation. The rest of the process is guided by a wizard on the screen, which usually takes just a few seconds to complete.

While many users are curious about the changelog for this beta build, Google has chosen not to share it unless there are significant improvements in the update. This suggests that Android Auto 11.3 is mainly focused on under-the-hood improvements. I have personally installed the beta build on my smartphone, but I haven’t noticed any major changes yet. It’s not surprising that Google is prioritizing subtle refinements, given the fast release pace that doesn’t allow for extensive feature development.

However, this doesn’t mean that Google isn’t working on significant changes for Android Auto in the near future. The company has already promised notable updates, including the integration of artificial intelligence for handling communications.

Some lucky users have already received an early version of the AI integration, which allows them to get a summary of long messages or busy group conversations read by Google Assistant. Google Assistant can also provide relevant answers, such as sharing the estimated time of arrival via Google Maps when asked by a contact.

In addition, Android Auto will be equipped with new capabilities for essential apps like Google Maps. Users will now be able to see their parking location on the map, making it easier to find their destination. If the parking location is different from the navigation destination, users can mark it on the map and use Google Maps for step-by-step walking directions.

Android Auto 11.3 also introduces a new Google Assistant animation, although it is not yet available to all users.

If you’re interested in trying out this beta build, keep in mind that Android Auto 11.3 is still in the pre-release stage, and it is not recommended to use it as your daily driver due to the increased likelihood of bugs.
