UPCOMING DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA EV GETS TUNED AND DEMON 170-SWAPPED IN FANTASY LAND

Ford Mustang: No Electric Version Until 2028, Says Rumor Mill

In a surprising move, Ford has announced that the upcoming seventh-generation Ford Mustang, known as the S650, will not be electrified until 2028. This decision comes straight from the company boss, who stated that they are perfectly fine being the last automaker to offer an affordable V8-powered model. This news comes as a relief to fans of traditional internal combustion engines, as it means the EcoBoost and Coyote V8-powered models will continue to be available for the foreseeable future.

Uncertainty Surrounds General Motors’ Camaro

Unlike Ford, General Motors is not as confident about the future of their Camaro. In fact, the sixth generation of the Camaro has seen a decline in sales, and there is doubt about whether a zero-emissions Ultium-powered model could reverse this trend. As a result, there are currently no plans for a successor to the pony and muscle car versions of the Camaro. Instead, Chevy is focusing its efforts on transforming the C8 Corvette into a true supercar, with the introduction of the electrified E-Ray and the record-breaking Z06.

Dodge’s Future Hangs in the Balance

The future of Dodge is currently uncertain and somewhat awkward. The 2023 Challenger and Charger have ceased production, marking the end of the L-bodied cars. It remains unclear if the Challenger will ever make a comeback, as the Charger is set to return later this year with the new STLA Medium platform. The Charger is expected to feature both ICE and EV powertrains, including the Banshee EV setups and the Hurricane inline-six turbo mills. Dodge has already begun teasing enthusiasts with prototypes of the Charger Daytona version, which is likely to be equipped with an electric powertrain.

Mixed Reactions to Dodge’s Transition

Opinions are divided when it comes to Dodge’s decision to transition to electric power. Some believe it is a mistake to abandon the traditional Mopar versus FoMoCo ICE-powered rivalry and leave the Ford Mustang GT as the sole V8-powered muscle car on the market. Others see this as an opportunity for a legacy automaker to challenge Tesla’s dominance in the EV space. However, there are also those who have mixed feelings about the new Charger, appreciating its design but disliking the inclusion of electric power.

Virtual Artist Envisions Modified Dodge Charger Daytona

In the world of digital car content creators, one individual stands out. Brad, known for his work on the bradbuilds social media account, has a knack for creating unique and imaginative automotive designs. His latest creation involves the upcoming 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona, which he envisions with an aerodynamic tune and an SRT Demon 170 Hellephant crate engine swap. This unconventional modification adds a touch of excitement and power to an already iconic model.

In a stunning design project, the author has transformed the Dodge Charger into a sleek and powerful machine. However, not all fans are on board with this new look. Some struggle to embrace the boxier, more massive front end that the author has added in his quest for aerodynamic enhancements. Despite this, there are those who believe that the Dodge Direct Connection concept is something that future Charger owners will eagerly apply to their own vehicles. With its fresh two-door fastback coupe design, the Charger may just give the upcoming Ford Mustang GTD a run for its money.
