Lando Norris sets track record and Dominates Singapore GP FP3 in Thrilling Showdown as Rivals Struggle to Keep Up

Lando Norris sent shockwaves through the Singapore Grand Prix, smashing records and scorching the track to snatch the top spot in the final practice session. In a sensational lap that clocked in at 1:29.646s on Soft tyres, Norris left rivals in the dust, outpacing Mercedes’ George Russell by a staggering 0.479 seconds. This incredible performance placed Norris firmly at the helm, with his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri trailing in third, struggling to keep pace despite a significantly improved balance in his car.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen clawed his way into fourth, a noticeable recovery from earlier sessions, as Ferrari’s early promise vanished in the heat of competition. Charles Leclerc was left frustrated, grappling with a lack of grip and floundering nearly a full second behind the blistering pace set by Norris, while his teammate Carlos Sainz couldn’t fare any better, settling for a disappointing sixth.

Lewis Hamilton, unable to match the form of his Mercedes teammate Russell, languished in seventh place, a far cry from his former glory. Williams showed surprising grit with Alex Albon leading the charge, taking eighth and ninth alongside Franco Colapinto, as Fernando Alonso rounded out the top ten in his Aston Martin, barely edging out Yuki Tsunoda’s Red Bull.

The chaos didn’t stop there: Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was a shadow of his usual self, stranded in 15th as he battled uncooperative machinery, falling between the Alpine pair of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon. Daniel Ricciardo’s hopes for a future on the grid looked grim as he ended the session nearly five-tenths behind Tsunoda, failing to make his mark.

At the back end, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll was mired in 18th, trailing in a lackluster performance ahead of the hapless Saubers that anchored the grid. As the Singapore GP heats up, one thing is clear: Lando Norris isn’t just here to race—he’s here to conquer, leaving a trail of frustrated rivals scrambling in his wake!
