The prices of fuels are set to rise again next week, following an increase of 0.9 cents per liter for both gasoline and diesel this week, driven by the worsening carbon tax.
This time, according to calculations from “ECO,” on the upcoming Monday, September 23, the price of 95 octane gasoline will see an increase of 1.5 cents per liter, reaching €1.666, while standard diesel, the most commonly used fuel in Portugal, is expected to rise by 0.5 cents per liter, reaching €1.540 per liter.
According to the publication specializing in economic matters, these values already account for the discounts applied by gas stations and the review of temporary fiscal measures aimed at helping to mitigate the rise in fuel prices.
