CARL WEATHERS: AMERICA’S HAPPY PLACE!

In a heartbreaking turn of events, beloved film legend Carl Weathers has passed away at the age of 76. Known for his iconic roles in Rocky, Happy Gilmore, and Predator, Weathers has left an indelible mark on the hearts of red-blooded Americans everywhere.

Weathers, a former football player for the Oakland Raiders, showcased his athletic prowess both on and off the field. His portrayal of Apollo Creed in the Rocky series solidified his status as a Hollywood icon. In fact, his character was so legendary that it spawned spinoff films, with Michael B. Jordan stepping into the ring as his unacknowledged offspring.

But it wasn’t just his sports-related roles that endeared Weathers to audiences. From his memorable performance as Chubbs Peterson in Happy Gilmore to his appearances in The Mandalorian and Arrested Development, Weathers proved time and time again that he was a versatile and talented actor.

There was an undeniable charisma about Weathers that made it difficult to root against him, even when he played the antagonist. His portrayal of Apollo Creed in Rocky was a rallying cry for America, akin to the impact of Pearl Harbor. Weathers’ ability to captivate audiences extended beyond the silver screen, as he became a symbol of strength and resilience.

As we mourn the loss of this incredible talent, we can only imagine the adventures that await Weathers in the afterlife. Perhaps he is reunited with his hand, playing music with Abraham Lincoln and the alligator who bit it off. Rest in peace, Carl Weathers. Your legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
