Volkswagen has announced that it will unveil the new Tayron aimed at the European market on October 10, a model that replaces the discontinued Tiguan Allspace and will be positioned between the Tiguan and the Touareg.
The new Tayron, which will be sold in Europe and the USA, is built on the VW Group’s MQB EVO platform and derives from the model intended for the Chinese market, the Tayron L, which boasts a total length of 4.68 meters, placing it between the 4.53 m of the Tiguan and the 4.72 m of the Tiguan Allspace.
Although it is not clear if the European Tayron will match the dimensions of the Tayron L exactly, all indications suggest that it will be larger than the European Tiguan.
The German brand has not revealed many details about the new Tayron, but the teaser released on social media shows that the model features LED lighting with animated graphics in the rear lights and an illuminated VW logo.
Regarding engine options, it seems that the new VW SUV will come with mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines, and it is not out of the question that the German brand may offer gasoline and diesel versions as well.
