GR Yaris ganha versão especial que celebra a primeira vitoria da Toyota no WRC

Toyota has unveiled a new special edition of the GR Yaris, with a limited production of 51 units, reserved exclusively for the Italian market, celebrating the 51st anniversary of the Japanese manufacturer’s first victory in the World Rally Championship (WRC).

This limited edition features a paint job inspired by the classic Corolla 1600 Coupé that secured Toyota’s first victory in the WRC, as well as custom 18’’ forged wheels with the exclusive Heritage Gold finish.

Other aesthetic elements include a specific TGR Italy emblem on the exterior, and a similar emblem inside the cabin displaying the production number of each unit.

The standard equipment includes the Tech pack, which adds parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking.

In terms of powertrains, there are no changes, and Toyota’s “hot hatch” utilizes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that produces 280 hp, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through the GR-Four rally system.
The GR Yaris TGR Italy Limited Edition will be available exclusively on Toyota’s Italian website starting September 9. Each unit will be priced at €67,500, and the first deliveries are expected by the end of 2024.
