Renovado Mazda MX-5 com mais potência e estilo

Mazda presented at the Tokyo Motor Show (Japan Mobility Show) to showcase the renewed MX-5, which comes with new safety and technology features, design evolutions, and new colors for the body and canvas top.

The renewed MX-5, which does not yet have a release date in the European market, comes with its traditional exterior image strengthened by a luminous signature with LED technology, with more advanced front optics, integrating daytime running lights for improved visibility, and redesigned taillights.

Another novelty is the Aero Grey Metallic exterior color, which in the case of the roadster version now comes with a beige top. In addition, the MX-5 now features new 16 or 17” wheels. In the cabin, the seats are covered with a new, more adhesive material that prevents body slippage in more dynamic driving situations.

Other improvements include a frameless rearview mirror, an enlarged and feature-rich 8.8” touch multimedia screen, an updated instrument panel, and two new USB-C ports.

This 2024 Mazda MX-5 refresh is mechanically equipped with the well-known Skyactiv-G engines, with 1.5 and 2.0 liters, which have also been updated. In the case of the 1.5 variant, the MX-5 now delivers 134 hp, 4 hp more than the previous version, while the 2.0-liter version has no changes and continues to deliver 184 hp, however, the engineers at the Japanese brand have improved the mapping to allow for better response.

News is the new asymmetrical limited-slip differential that equips the versions equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)-Track mode prioritizes the driver, applying oversteer control only in the event that the driver cannot correct the position of the vehicle in a more demanding curve. It is already known that the renewed MX-5 will arrive in the Japanese market in January 2024, and it is not yet known when it will be available in Europe.
