The Formula E pre-season tests at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia ended yesterday, marked by the time lost due to the fire at the battery supplier’s facilities, WAE, on Tuesday. Nick Cassidy set the fastest time on the final day, with António Félix da Costa finishing 16th.

It was towards the end of the session that Cassidy set the fastest time of 1m24.617s aboard the Jaguar. Maximilian Günther (Maserati MSG Racing) also improved towards the end to finish 41 milliseconds behind his rival, with Mitch Evans in third. The Jaguar driver also led on the first two days, being the fastest of the week – he set a time of 1m24.474s in the first session on Tuesday.

Robin Frijns (Envision Racing/Jaguar) finished fourth, despite losing time due to a battery change. Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) completed the top five. Jake Dennis (Andretti/Porsche), the champion of the last season, finished with the ninth fastest time. His teammate, Félix da Costa, had a quiet last day of testing, setting the 16th time, 0.466s off the top. He completed 142 laps. Rookie Jehan Daruvala (Maserati MSG Racing) finished 13th.
