After six years with United Autosports, Phil Hanson will have his first opportunity in one of the top categories of endurance racing in 2024. He will be driving for JDC-Miller Motorsport in the endurance races of the IMSA SportsCar Championship, piloting a Porsche 963 LMDh.

The 24-year-old driver, who has been a teammate of Filipe Albuquerque in various fronts such as the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), has an impressive resume: he was the first to be champion in LMP2 in the WEC, in the ELMS, and to be a class winner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the same year.

The IMSA is not a completely new territory for Hanson, who has already competed in several races of the championship… including the 24 Hours of Daytona. The British driver stated in a press release: ‘I am very excited to join JDC-Miller Motorsport for the IMSA endurance races in 2024! After my first contact with IMSA in 2018, I am excited to return to the paddock and, above all, to make my debut in the GTP class with the JDC Porsche 963. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve’.
