Citroën is once again betting on the differentiation of the Ami with the launch of a new special edition. After presenting the Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision concept at the end of 2025, the French brand is now taking a concrete step with the arrival of the Ami Rip Curl, a limited series that brings the world of surfing into urban daily life.
More than just a simple aesthetic variation, this edition aims to reinforce the positioning of the Ami as a mobility object with its own identity — something that goes beyond the function of transportation.
An Ami with a more expressive attitude
The new Citroën Ami Rip Curl retains the technical foundation of the already known model but introduces a more striking visual language. The bodywork appears in “Black Night,” contrasted by graphic elements inspired by the Rip Curl universe.
These details play a central role in the model’s identity. The stickers, available in two colors — yellow (Sunrise) and violet (Sunset) — traverse various points of the bodywork, creating a strong and easily recognizable visual signature.
The inspiration from waves and the surfing imagination is not subtle. It is embraced. And that is what distinguishes this version from the others.

Customization and detail in the interior
The differentiating approach extends to the cabin.
The Ami Rip Curl introduces a new 5.7-inch digital panel with a color display, now standard across the range, improving readability and user experience. But the highlight is the customization elements that match the exterior theme.
Colorful storage boxes, nets in the doors, coordinated mats and accessories reinforce the feeling of a product designed as a coherent set, and not just as a functional vehicle.
It is an approach that brings the Ami closer to a lifestyle object than to a traditional automobile.
A collaboration with history
The partnership between Citroën and Rip Curl is not new. Over the past decade, several special editions have marked this collaboration, always with the same goal: to associate mobility with leisure and escape.
This new edition of the Ami reinforces that positioning, at a time when the concept of urban mobility is evolving into something more flexible, emotional, and adapted to different lifestyles.

A product designed for the city… and beyond
Despite its relaxed aesthetic, the Ami maintains its fundamental characteristics.
This is a compact electric vehicle, with a range of up to 75 km, designed for urban and peri-urban travel. The possibility of driving from the age of 16 with an AM license remains one of its greatest selling points, especially among a younger audience.
More than competing with traditional cars, the Ami positions itself as an alternative solution — simple, accessible, and adapted to new mobility habits.

Limited production and market arrival
The Ami Rip Curl will be produced in a limited series of 1,600 units, equally divided between the Sunrise and Sunset versions.
Orders started on April 29, 2026, with an entry price of 9,290 euros. The first deliveries are expected in June.
