Thomas Preining became the champion of the DTM this year behind the wheel of a Manthey EMA Porsche. However, his future in the German championship is not yet guaranteed.
The Austrian said in a press conference quoted on SPEEDWEEK.com that he is confident, but nothing is decided regarding staying in 2024: ‘I am confident that I will return next year. But I have been confident in many things in the past’.
While there is no news about his projects in 2024, Preining already has his immediate future confirmed: on Sunday, he will participate in the rookie test of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Sakhir with the Porsche LMDh, and in a few weeks, he will make his debut in the GT World Cup in Macau.
