Carlos Sainz will leave Ferrari at the end of this year’s Formula 1 season, following the arrival of Lewis Hamilton. Therefore, he will begin the season already knowing that his future does not involve Maranello.
The Spaniard issued a statement on social media in which he assured that, despite the known separation, he will not lack maximum commitment:
“After today’s news, the Scuderia Ferrari and I will go our separate ways at the end of 2024. We still have a long season ahead of us and, as always, I will give my absolute best for the team and for the tifosi around the world.”
Currently, Sainz is rumored as an option for Audi’s F1 project, but #55 refers any future updates to a later time: “News about my future will be announced at the appropriate moment.”
