The Swedish brand of 100% electric cars took advantage of Polstar Day, an event held in Los Angeles, California, United States, to present the production version of the Polestar 5th, a model that is expected to hit the market in 2025.
The model was presented together with the complete range of future Polestar models and features a design that is a clear evolution of the Precept Concept, where a set of split headlights similar to those of the Polestar 4 stands out, divided into two elements. The rear section is marked by a continuous light bar that runs through the entire rear of the Polestar 5, with the ends ending in the bumper. In addition, it also has a generous glass roof.
It is already known that the new electric sedan from the Swedish brand will have a powertrain composed of two electric motors, one per axle, which have a combined power of 874 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, and makes use of an 800V architecture.
The Swedish brand took advantage of Polestar Day to announce that it is developing XFC (extreme fast charging) batteries in partnership with StoreDot, which according to the brand of 100% electric vehicles will allow for 161 km of range in just five minutes of charging. This new battery is expected to be tested soon in a Polestar 5 prototype, and if the test is successful, the new battery may be added to the new production model after its launch.
