Jean Todt recomenda mais estabilidade diretiva à Ferrari: ‘Foi uma das vantagens que tive…’

Absent from major Formula 1 title victories since 2008, Ferrari has been slow to truly return to the fight for championships. After a good campaign in 2022, it seemed possible to launch a candidacy this year, but even with the new leadership of team boss Frédéric Vasseur, results and performances worsened.

In the face of pressure for results, leadership changes have been common at Scuderia in recent years. One of the longest-serving leaders of the Maranello team was Jean Todt, who argued on Canal+ that changing frequently may not be positive:

– Ferrari is a team that is a little different because it creates emotion and passion like no other. So, if it doesn’t work, the tendency is that with the pressure from the press and the tifosi [fans] we have to change [leadership], it’s not necessarily a good thing.

Todt has no doubt that stability was a key ingredient in the successful years when he led Ferrari: ‘I think that at the time when I was the boss, one of the advantages I could have and that later allowed us to succeed was precisely that we could benefit from stability’.
