All Formula 1 drivers are required to have the Super License to compete, regardless of their results. Max Verstappen is no exception and, next year, he will have to pay a large sum for the document.
According to Auto Bild, the Dutchman will be the first to pay over one million euros for the Super License. The base fee is 10,400 euros, with an additional 2,100 euros for each point in the championship.
Therefore, with a record number of points achieved this year, it is not surprising that Verstappen will be the one who pays the most so far in history. And, with two rounds to go, the amount could increase by another 109,200 euros (there are 52 points at stake).
So far, the Red Bull driver already knows that he will have to pay 1,188,566 euros for the Super License. A sum that could reach a maximum of 1,307,647 euros if he achieves a perfect score in the Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi GPs.
