The Las Vegas GP could be the coldest in F1 history.

After the recent heat that was a problem in the Qatar GP, Formula 1 could be about to experience the opposite end of the thermometer – with the Las Vegas GP potentially being the coldest ever.

According to various international organizations, weather forecasts indicate the possibility of temperatures below 5ºC at the time of the race next weekend. Rain or snow seems to be out of the question.

So far, the coldest GP on record dates back to 1978, when the Canadian GP race recorded a bone-chilling maximum of 5ºC. As a curiosity, the winner was Gilles Villeneuve, in what was his first victory.
