Volkswagen Expands ID. Buzz Lineup with New Models and Pricing Details Across Europe and the U.S.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is significantly expanding its ID. Buzz lineup, introducing new base and top models both in Europe and the United States. As the iconic VW Microbus gets a modern electric reincarnation, Volkswagen is catering to a wider audience with new variations in both markets, targeting different customer needs and price points.

In Europe, the new entry-level models, ID. Buzz Pure and ID. Buzz Freestyle, are set to debut in September. These models are equipped with a smaller 59-kWh battery pack, making them more affordable starting at 49,998 euros. Powered by a 125 kW (170 PS) rear-mounted motor, these versions offer a range of 330 km (205 miles) on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle. The Pure version, priced at 54,127 euros, also supports fast charging at up to 165 kW.

The European market will also see a broader range of ID. Buzz models, including the top-tier ID. Buzz GTX with a choice between short or long wheelbases and larger 79-kWh or 86-kWh battery packs. Other additions include the all-wheel-drive ID. Buzz Cargo 4Motion, further expanding Volkswagen’s EV lineup in Europe.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Volkswagen has revealed the 2025 ID. Buzz lineup and pricing, catering to nostalgic consumers who remember the original Microbus. The U.S. models, exclusively long-wheelbase variants, will arrive in showrooms later this year. The range kicks off with the ID. Buzz Pro S, priced at $59,995, offering an EPA-estimated range of up to 234 miles for the rear-wheel-drive model. Other trims include the Pro S Plus at $63,495 and the launch-exclusive 1st Edition starting at $65,495, excluding a $1,550 destination charge.

The American-spec ID. Buzz models also boast unique interior color options like Dune, Copper, and Midnight, specifically tailored for the North American market. The Pro S trim, designed to accommodate up to seven passengers, comes with 20-inch wheels and a selection of exterior colors. The Pro S Plus trim offers both RWD and AWD configurations, with added features like a head-up display, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, and a range of two-tone exterior color options.

The 1st Edition, available only at launch, includes exclusive features like bespoke 20-inch wheels, special badges, and a coastal-inspired interior, solidifying its appeal to those seeking a blend of heritage and modernity.

Volkswagen’s strategic expansion of the ID. Buzz lineup across Europe and the U.S. showcases the brand’s commitment to electrification while honoring its storied past with a modern twist on the classic Microbus.
