Max Verstappen ended the Formula 1 season in the best way, obtaining his 19th victory in 22 rounds. The man from Red Bull dominated the Abu Dhabi GP, once again showing the arguments that led him to be a three-time champion.
The Dutchman did not hide that it was an emotional farewell to 2023, emphasizing that the goal is to improve although knowing that it is complicated to have a similar campaign to this year: ‘It was an unforgettable season. It was emotional to drive the RB19 for the last time on the in-lap, this car and the team gave me so much. I have to say a big thank you to everyone at Red Bull, we had an incredible year. It will be difficult to replicate a year like this, but we always want to do better and improve, so let’s see what we can achieve next year’.
Now comes the winter break, and Verstappen emphasized that it is necessary for the members of F1: ‘Meanwhile, I think everyone in the team and everyone in the paddock needs some rest and spend some time with friends and family. It was simply a lovely year’.
