Daniel Suarez extends deal with Trackhosue Racing amidst unknown future

Daniel Saurez has been the subject of rumors about his position at the start of the season, but the fact that he has extended his contract puts all of these claims to rest.

Trackhosue Racing has made an announcement that they have signed a one-year contract extension with their driver, who is of Mexican-American descent. He has been a part of the team since its inception in 2021, driving the No:99 car, and will continue to do so for at least one more year, despite facing competition from the expanded driver lineup of Trackhosue.

Currently, Daniel Saurez is the only driver from Trackhosue who has a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. He secured his place in the last 16 by winning the Talladega race, while his teammate is in a difficult position, sitting at P16 in the points table with only a 7-point buffer. If things go wrong, Saurez would be their only hope of advancing to the postseason.

When discussing the contract extension, Saurez emphasized that Trackhosue Racing feels like home to him and that he has always enjoyed being a part of the team. His goal is to continue developing and winning more races with the team, with strong support from his primary sponsor, Freeway Insurance, who have been by his side for many years.

Co-owner Justin Marks of the team expressed his delight in continuing their relationship with Saurez and his sponsor. He acknowledged that the driver has been a crucial part of their team since day one.

There has been a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the future of the Mexican driver, with other teams and sponsors waiting in the wings. However, with this decision, Trackhosue has confirmed that they have not lost faith in their driver. It will be interesting to see how Saurez performs in the upcoming races of 2024, now that his career is no longer in doubt.
