Ford announced the arrival of the renewed Mustang to the European market, which now comes equipped with more technology and connectivity.

Aesthetically, the American brand made few changes to the most iconic of muscle cars, maintaining the sculpted hood and powerful rear haunches that are the key to the muscular presence of the sports car launched in 1964.

In addition, there is a new front spoiler and side skirts that improve aerodynamics, while the LED lights update the classic three-bar taillights.

The biggest novelty of the renewed Mustang is in the interior, where a fully digital screen stands out, with a 12.4” instrument panel and a 13.2” central screen directed at the driver, which is customizable through a choice of colors and images, and makes use of Unreal Engine gaming software to support interactive animated graphics, allowing the driver to easily change the settings of the central screen.

Ford has doubled the processing power of the new Mustang’s entertainment system. The SYNC 4 system adapts to present the functions that each driver uses most and is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Furthermore, 5G connectivity supports music streaming through the B&O audio system, and cloud-connected navigation allows for real-time traffic updates.

Mechanically, the renewed Mustang comes equipped with a 5.0-liter engine, which promises the performance and responsiveness of an American V8, capable of producing 446 hp and 540 Nm of maximum torque, which are transmitted to the rear axle through a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford engineers have equipped the renewed Mustang with a new air intake system that allows the engine to breathe more freely for a faster response, and an active exhaust system that alters the sound and volume of the engine, whether for quiet urban driving that doesn’t bother the neighbors or for maximum freedom on open roads.

In addition, the oval brand’s model is equipped with six driving modes to adapt to all road conditions: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Drag, Track, and Personal.

The Performance package is part of the standard equipment, and the renewed Mustang is equipped with 19” alloy wheels, a Brembo braking system, and a limited-slip differential that reduces wheel rotation for better grip, especially in curves. Optionally, the Ford muscle car can be equipped with MagneRide adaptive suspension.

On the other hand, the top-of-the-line Mustang Dark Horse is equipped with the well-known 5.0-liter V8, which has been enhanced by Ford Performance, introducing forged connecting rods and a new crankshaft to reinforce its reliability and allow for performance inspired by racing cars, with 507 hp of power and 567 Nm of maximum torque, with the option of a 10-speed automatic transmission or an exclusive six-speed manual transmission by TREMEC.
