The fully electric MINI Aceman is just a few months away from being presented, and the British brand has announced that the model has successfully completed dynamic tests under extreme conditions.
The crossover that combines the characteristics of the two most successful Mini models, the Cooper and the Countryman, to create a new vehicle concept, presents itself with a length of 4.07 meters, a width of 1.75 meters, and a height of 1.49 meters. It has successfully completed tests in the Arctic Circle and in the desert, where, in addition to the classic features such as driving dynamics and driving comfort, the brand’s testing team focused on the most demanding aspects for an electric vehicle. For this, the air conditioning, charging, and battery cooling were intensively tested up to 50° Celsius in the dusty desert sand.
Mechanically, the MINI Aceman in the E version is expected to use a single electric motor mounted on the front axle that should deliver a power of 181 hp and is powered by a 40 kWh battery for a range of 300 km in the WLTP cycle. The SE variant is expected to have a power of 215 hp and should be equipped with a larger battery with 54.2 kWh for a range of up to 400 km.
