Lamborghini renova logotipo histórico

The Lamborghini announced during the presentation of the results of the first semester of 2024, that it will present the successor of the Huracán on August 16, during the Monterey Car Week, the same festival where in 2023 it revealed the Lanzador concept, which anticipates the brand’s first fully electric model.

It is already known that the successor of the Huracán will be named Temerario, and that the new supercar will join the High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range, and will be equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine, combined with a hybrid system that incorporates three electric motors and the dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox, debuted in the Lamborghini Revuelto, and optimized for the new model.

The new engine, which was designed from scratch in Sant’Agata Bolognese, promises to offer performance and driving excitement that surpasses the current Huracán range. The twin-turbo V8 combines the great linearity of progression, which made the Lamborghini V10 famous, with the high power and high specific torque of a new generation turbocharged engine.

The Italian brand has announced that the V8 twin-turbo has a displacement of 4.0 liters and a specific power output of 200 hp/liter. The maximum power available will be 800 hp, between 9000 and 9750 rpm, reaching a maximum operating speed of 10,000 rpm: a value typically reserved for competition engines, making the new V8 unique in the world of supercars intended for road use. It is also unique in terms of delivering a maximum torque of 730 Nm between 4000 and 7000 rpm.
