Alpine announced on Tuesday the departure of Davide Brivio. He was currently the director of competition expansion projects, which included the team’s young driver program – the Alpine Academy.
Under his leadership, several young drivers were trained in various disciplines, such as Jack Doohan – who has already participated in Formula 1 free practice sessions and served as a reserve driver in 2023, repeating the role in 2024. Now, Julian Rouse will continue to oversee the Alpine Academy program.
Bruno Famin, the vice-president of Alpine Racing, stated that Brivio’s departure was his own choice: ‘First, we would like to thank Davide for his hard work and commitment over the past three seasons. His experience in motorsport has been extremely valuable, especially in the development and progression of the Alpine Academy. Davide’s desire is to leave Alpine to pursue other opportunities, and we have mutually agreed to go our separate ways. We extend our best wishes to him in the next chapter of an already impressive career in motorsport’.
