Primeiro Range Rover elétrico já iniciou a fase de testes e chega em 2025

The British Jaguar Land Rover has revealed that it has begun road testing prototypes of the 100% electric Range Rover, a model that marks Coventry’s journey towards electric mobility.

The electric Range Rover is the brand’s first 100% electric model in its 53-year history and promises to enhance its modern luxury credentials while maintaining British design and off-road capabilities.

“We want to create the quietest and most refined Range Rover in history. Minimalist design, a relaxing interior, and off-road capability are the ingredients to maintain the success of the Range Rover, now with zero emissions,” emphasized Thomas Müller, Executive Product Engineering Director at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

The British brand has announced that the 100% electric Range Rover, which will hit the market in 2025, will feature an 800-volt architecture, allowing for faster battery charging with ultra-fast chargers, and will be based on a flexible longitudinal modular platform.

The zero-emission SUV is an important step in the brand’s transition to electromobility, where it plans to invest £15 billion (approximately €17 billion) over the next five years.

It is already known that the new electric Range Rover will be produced at JLR’s Solihull factory near Birmingham, UK, where the current Range Rover hybrid models are produced. The British brand has also announced that those interested in the new 100% electric model can now join the waiting list to be the first to reserve the first 100% electric Range Rover SUV.
