Bentley also produces limited edition honey

Bentley também produz mel em edição limitada

A Bentley, a British luxury car brand, has installed beehives in the pastures surrounding its iconic Crewe facility in England to house a colony that currently has about 1 million bees. This is one of the ways the company has found to improve its environmental footprint and achieve our goal of carbon-neutral operations.

Celebrating five years of harvests, the brand will distribute a special edition, with the “Black Edition” label, of just over 500 jars of honey from the so-called ‘Bentley Bees’ (a pun that refers to models like the Flying Spur), coming from the two oldest beehives.

In addition to the Black Edition Label, over a thousand jars of “regular” honey were collected from the remaining 15 beehives. Bentley’s in-house design team helped celebrate the occasion with the creation of exclusive labels.

“The delicious honey is very exclusive and we don’t sell it; instead, it is offered at corporate events, customer visits, and charity causes, along with reward and recognition schemes and competitions for colleagues. We consider it an interesting way to get people talking about the importance of ecology and the role that pollinators play”, explains Sebastian Benndorf, Director of Production Planning at Bentley Motors.
