Citroën has confirmed that the new ë-C3, which will be available in the market in the Spring and was presented in October, already has over 10,000 reservations made in the 10 countries where the model will be sold.
This way, the fourth generation of the C3 promises to continue the success story of the model, which has sold over 5.6 million units since its launch in 2002, surpassing the iconic 2 CV, which sold 5.1 million units in its 41-year career.
The new French utility vehicle, designed and built in Europe, measures about four meters in length and will debut in the 100% electric ë-C3 version, with a 44 kWh capacity battery and a 113 hp electric motor, for a range of up to 320 km in the WLTP cycle. All for a starting price of €23,300.
Based on a modified version of the CMP2 platform, which is also used for the Peugeot 2008 and Jeep Avenger, for example, the new ë-C3 maintains almost unchanged dimensions compared to its predecessor, whose career is coming to an end, except for the height, which increases by a generous 100 mm, and the ground clearance, set at 163 mm.
Only two versions are available for online reservation: the entry-level “You” version or the “Max” variant, which is more equipped. The French brand makes it clear that out of the 10,000 reservations already made, 44% are for the “Max” version and 56% are for the “You” version.
