Lamborghini revela pilotos para o WEC e para o IMSA

The alignments of Iron Lynx Lamborghini for the upcoming season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA SportsCar Championship are now known. The debut in LMDh will happen with an SC63 in each championship.

In WEC, Daniil Kvyat, Mirko Bortolotti, and Edoardo Mortara will be present, with Mortara also joining the Italian constructor as a factory driver… similar to Matteo Cairoli, who will compete in IMSA alongside Andrea Caldarelli and Romain Grosjean. All six drivers are directly linked to Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini’s sports director, Giorgio Sana, commented: ‘We are excited to welcome Edoardo and Matteo to our Lamborghini Squadra Corse family. Both drivers have a lot of experience and not only bring impressive speed and professionalism to the LMDh project in WEC and IMSA, but also the opportunity to strategically use them in some of the biggest GT3 races and championships.’ Cairoli and Mortara have already tested the Lamborghini SC63 in Jerez last September. This week, they will be on board the car again for a two-day test at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin – which concludes the development program before the competition debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona next January.
