Recently, Sauber revealed that it will be called Stake F1 Team in the 2024 Formula 1 season. However, it will not be the only designation of the Hinwil team in this post-Alfa Romeo and pre-Audi era.
According to RacingNews365.com, there are Grand Prix races where advertising for Stake – which operates in the field of betting – will not be allowed. In those cases, the designation will be Kick F1 Team.
But that is not the only reason for the two different designations. On the other hand, Sauber highlights Kick, which is another strong sponsor. On the other hand, Stake and Kick have the same owner, so there are no contractual objections. The chassis will be permanently designated as Kick Sauber.
