The speculation was already circulating, and now it has been officially confirmed: Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team is the new name of AlphaTauri for Formula 1 – the third in the team’s history since it has been owned by Red Bull. The presentation is scheduled for February 8.
When it decided to buy the historic Minardi, the energy drink brand named the Faenza structure Toro Rosso, which prevailed until 2019. Then, it changed its strategy by promoting its clothing brand, AlphaTauri.
Now, in partnership with Visa as a sponsor, the team becomes Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team – with a strong emphasis on the logos of the banking sector company on the cars of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda.
It is important to say that this is just a rebranding resulting also from the agreement with a new main sponsor, not changing anything about the ownership of the team or its connection to Red Bull.
