Tesla announced that it has increased the prices of the Model 3 in European markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain, by about €1500 depending on the version.
According to the “Reuters” report, which cites a source from the American electric vehicle manufacturer, the announced increase comes as a result of the provisional tariffs imposed by the European Commission on electric vehicles manufactured in China.
Recall that Tesla warned in June that it could raise prices of its models starting in July to cope with European Union tariffs that can reach up to 37.6%, depending on the automaker.
Models from Elon Musk’s brand manufactured in China were supposed to receive an additional tariff of 20.8%. However, Tesla requested a recalculation of the tariff amount from the European Commission and is still awaiting a response.
