All-Black or White-on-Chrome: Which 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Will You Choose?

Sure, some will say that certain things never change – like the base EcoBoost Mustang or the Coyote V8-equipped models. But the truth is that the world is always in a constant state of flux, and the entry-level plus V8-equipped models have become more powerful at up to 315 hp and 486 horsepower, as well as more expensive than their S550 predecessors.

The latest iteration also added a couple of completely new variants as Ford makes an interesting transition from the pony and muscle car segments to the world of classic sports cars – they’re more and more involved in motorsport, including endurance racing with the new Mustang GT3. Also, last summer, they revealed something completely bonkers – the street version of the GT3 racer. Aptly called GTD – Grand Touring Daytona – this is a collector’s car worth in excess of $325k in America and more than $560k in parts of Europe, complete with a supercharged V8 and some 800 horsepower.

Shown in full ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this year with the first preview of the disappointingly mundane cockpit but looks ultra-spectacular from the outside in Carbon Series trim and with the Performance package installed, the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is a sight to behold. However, it seems that Ford’s liveries are too much for some folks – and it turns out that even the imaginative realm of digital car content creators sometimes prefers simplicity above all else.

Thus, here’s Khyzyl Saleem, the virtual artist better known as the_kyza on social media, who is thinking that now is maybe the perfect time to start thinking about GTD choices. His options are quite simple – one version is all-white with just a few aerodynamic elements left in glossy black. The other is even more minimalist, as the swan-neck wing is nowhere to be seen, and instead, we’re looking at an all-black treatment with the same chrome alloy wheels.

So, which is your choice? By the way, this fall or the first part of 2025 will be very interesting. On the one hand, there will be the 800-horsepower, front-engine, and RWD Ford Mustang GTD with a rear-mounted trans-axle. On the other hand, you’ll have the choice to go for another American supercar as the 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 will be officially revealed on July 25, and the rumor mill believes it’s going to be equipped with the Z06 engine plus a twin-turbo assembly to also tower above the 800-hp threshold.
