Maserati is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the MC12 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) with two limited editions of the MC20. The MC20 Icona takes inspiration from the MC12 Stradale, while the MC20 Leggenda pays homage to the MC12 GT1 Vitaphone racer. Both models are limited to 20 units and feature exclusive details. Powered by a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine, they produce 621 horsepower (630 ps/463 kW) and are mid-engined.
Also on display at the event is the MC12 Versione Corse, a track-focused variant that was produced in limited numbers. Only 12 copies were made, along with one prototype. This rare vehicle is equipped with a 755-horsepower V12 engine and will be showcased throughout the four-day festival.
Maserati will also introduce the GranCabrio Folgore at the Goodwood FoS. This all-new electric model is the third vehicle in the brand’s lineup to feature an electric powertrain. It is the world’s first electric four-seater convertible and promises a luxurious driving experience for up to four passengers.
The GranCabrio Folgore boasts a distinctive Maserati design, with a power-retractable soft top that can be lowered in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph (50 kph). Customers can choose from a range of exterior colors and enjoy a host of features, including 20- or 21-inch alloys, a digital gauge cluster, infotainment system, heated steering wheel, and premium audio system. Extensive customization options are also available.
Under the hood, the GranCabrio Folgore is powered by a 92.5 kWh battery and three electric motors. With a total output of 818 hp (830 ps/610 kW) and 996 pound-foot (1,350 Nm) of torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 kph). The electric range, according to WLTP ratings, is between 260 and 278 miles (419-447 km).
Maserati is set to make a big impression at the Goodwood FoS with its limited edition MC20 models and the debut of the GranCabrio Folgore. Car enthusiasts and visitors will have the opportunity to see these iconic vehicles up close and experience the power and luxury that Maserati is known for.
