Mike Krack concurs with Alonso’s criticism of Aston Martin F1

Source: Aston Martin

Krack, similar to Alonso, believes it is time for Aston Martin to deliver stronger performances in the Formula 1 circuit. The Aston Martin Formula 1 Team Principal, Mike Krack, fully supports Fernando Alonso’s call for the team to let their actions speak on the track. The team, based in Silverstone, has been facing difficulties lately as their attempts to improve their results through upgrades have not been successful. Despite the challenges, Alonso has remained positive but expressed the need for the team to work harder and deliver better results, especially after a disappointing outcome at his home Grand Prix in Barcelona. Krack was asked about Alonso’s comments before the Austrian Grand Prix and he wholeheartedly agreed with the Spaniard’s perspective. He emphasized the importance of delivering promised performance and focusing on actions rather than words.

Unfortunately, Aston Martin and Alonso were unable to deliver in Austria last weekend. Neither Alonso nor Stroll were able to score points in either the Sprint or GP races at the Red Bull Ring due to poor qualifying performances. The team’s struggles were evident as Stroll started 12th in the Sprint and Alonso started 15th in the GP. This was a significant contrast to Alonso’s earlier qualifying performances, where the team’s pace allowed him to reach Q3 multiple times. Aston Martin has now gone two rounds without scoring, leaving them in fifth place in the Constructors’ standings with 58 points, 28 points ahead of sixth-placed RB and 138 points behind fourth-placed Mercedes.

Alonso acknowledged the need for improvement in the next race and emphasized the importance of paying attention to the details. With the next race taking place at Silverstone, which is considered Aston Martin’s home Grand Prix due to their headquarters being located nearby, Alonso highlighted the significance of performing well at this event. Despite the team’s recent struggles, Alonso remains hopeful for a better outcome at Silverstone and believes they can turn things around.
