Daniel Ricciardo reconhece que não tem influência no futuro de Liam Lawson na Fórmula 1.

The future of Daniel Ricciardo in Formula 1 is uncertain, as Liam Lawson is about to test the Red Bull car for the 2022 season. Red Bull still does not have a contract for the 2025 season. In an interview, the team’s shareholders expressed a preference for young drivers in their junior team, which could put Ricciardo’s place at risk, as his contract has already been extended.

Liam Lawson will soon test the Red Bull car for the 2022 season. Ricciardo was aware that this test had been planned for some time. He acknowledged that as drivers age, they realize they can only control certain aspects of their career. Ricciardo emphasized the importance of focusing on what he can manage and accepting the things he cannot control. His experience and maturity have helped him handle situations more effectively.

Ricciardo acknowledged that if Lawson performs exceptionally well during the test, it would be beneficial for Lawson himself, who is 22 years old. He made it clear that he has no influence over Lawson’s performance and does not want him to do poorly. Ricciardo emphasized that he is currently in the race seat and is focused on maximizing his own performance and controlling the factors within his power. He stressed the importance of focusing on his own responsibilities and giving his best performance.

When asked if he is looking for a new team, Ricciardo stated that he is not actively seeking another team. He clarified that this decision is not due to stubbornness or arrogance, but rather because he truly has no interest in considering other teams. The 35-year-old driver expressed his satisfaction in being back with the Red Bull family and truly enjoying his current situation.

Ricciardo mentioned that he appreciates the provocations from certain people, as he believes it is done to motivate him to perform better. He acknowledged that this may seem casual, but that he deeply cares about it. Ricciardo has reached a point where he accepts that the results are often beyond his control.

Although Ricciardo wants to continue with Red Bull and considers the team as a family, the team’s plans have already been set, which could potentially cost him his place. Ricciardo is cautious about his performance in the upcoming races and wants to ensure that he does his best in case the team has decided to replace him.
