Carlos Sainz diz que não está focado em superar o companheiro de equipe Charles Leclerc nas classificações de 2024.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have been competing together as teammates at Ferrari since 2021. Sainz had a good start to the 2024 season with Ferrari, despite being unexpectedly expelled by the team. He even managed to win a race amidst Red Bull’s dominant performance. However, Sainz missed the opportunity to score significant points due to appendicitis and as a result, he is not focused on surpassing Leclerc for the remainder of the season.

Currently, Sainz is in fourth place in the drivers’ championship, trailing Leclerc by just 15 points. The Spaniard acknowledges that he still has a long way to go to surpass his teammate in the 2024 season. Sainz emphasizes that he is not overly concerned about his position after missing the Saudi Arabian GP, as he is one race behind his rivals, although many of them have also missed races.

Furthermore, Sainz highlights his dedication to achieving victories and podiums. He is less concerned about the drivers’ championship due to the significant disadvantage he faced after missing a race. Sainz acknowledges the difficulty of competing against the top drivers after a setback like this.

Since missing the Saudi Arabian GP, Sainz has faced various challenges with the SF-24 and has struggled to perform well in several races. Additionally, there is uncertainty regarding Sainz’s future after being expelled from Ferrari. However, Sainz remains positive and focuses on the benefits of his situation. With five podiums in ten races, he considers his statistics to be good and believes he is in great form this year.

Sainz has been considered for a position in several teams for the next season. However, he has decided to wait and carefully evaluate the best opportunity for his future. However, the 29-year-old driver will soon have to make a decision regarding his career in top-level motorsport.
