Carlos Sainz compartilha mensagem emocionante em seu último ano na Ferrari após terminar em terceiro no Grande Prêmio da Áustria.

At the beginning of this year, it was announced that Ferrari and Carlos Sainz will go their separate ways after the end of the 2024 season.

is a respected driver in the Formula 1 paddock. The Spaniard has been one of the few drivers to achieve victory in the past two years. However, despite his success, the 29-year-old driver has been released in favor of another driver and is currently in his final season as a racing driver for the Italian team. As his time with the team comes to an end, he shared a heartfelt message after securing his fifth podium of the 2024 season in Austria.

Ferrari hired Carlos Sainz for the 2021 season to replace a previous driver. The Spaniard had high expectations to fulfill, but he quickly adapted to the team and stood out as the top driver in his first season with Ferrari. However, another driver was always expected as Ferrari’s favorite. On the other hand, with Lewis Hamilton expressing interest in joining Maranello, the unfortunate 29-year-old driver was released in favor of the British driver.

Since then, Sainz has been giving his best in the races and, after a podium in Austria, he shared a heartfelt message.

🎙️| Carlos Sainz with a heartfelt message to the fans: “Being a Ferrari driver in Formula 1 excites me. I was thinking about it while celebrating with champagne, because maybe next year it won’t be the same.” We will miss you, Carlos 🥺

The 29-year-old driver admitted that being a Ferrari driver in Formula 1 is a dream come true for him. However, with this chapter coming to an end soon, he celebrated his entire time with the team and reflected on it while celebrating with champagne on the podium, knowing that next year won’t bring the same experience for him.

The team based in Maranello started the season with the second fastest car. However, as the season progressed, other teams surpassed them. Recognizing the drop in performance, Sainz acknowledged that it will be a tough battle against Mercedes.

The former three-time champion explained how the past weekends have been forgettable for Ferrari.

Sainz explained that the German team has improved in the past weekends. Additionally, he expects a tough fight with Mercedes in Silverstone and hopes to have an advantage over them before the summer break.

Despite Sainz’s hopes, Mercedes has emerged as a leading car, as another driver won the race in Austria. Therefore, the engineers in Maranello will need to make significant progress to catch up with Red Bull and compete for victories, as they have done in the past.
