Helmut Marko acusa Max Verstappen e Lando Norris de ultrapassarem limites em batalha intensa no Grande Prêmio da Áustria.

In the Austrian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris were involved in a fierce battle on lap 64. Verstappen fiercely defended his position, resulting in a collision between the two drivers and damaging their cars.

Helmut Marko, an 81-year-old figure in the sport, expressed his thoughts on the incident. He believed that both drivers’ actions were excessively intense and aggressive. Marko stated that Norris repeatedly crossed the white line, causing problems for both drivers. He considered Norris’ actions unnecessary.

Marko was disappointed with the incident as it marred what had been an exciting battle. He explained that their problems started when they ran out of new medium tires and had a bad pit stop. Verstappen struggled to compete on used tires, and Marko felt that both drivers could have been less aggressive and more strategic to achieve a positive result.

In a post-race interview, Verstappen couldn’t explain the sudden change in his car’s performance. He noted that the car initially had good balance but became difficult to control as the race progressed. Verstappen suspected a mechanical issue. Despite the challenges, he believed he could still win the race. However, mistakes during the pit stop ruined his chances.

Verstappen was frustrated, believing he could have overcome the car’s issues and secured a victory if not for the pit stop errors. The disappointment was amplified by the fact that the race took place in Austria, the home country of Red Bull, and Verstappen finished in fifth place.

Overall, the collision between Verstappen and Norris and the subsequent pit stop errors left both drivers and their teams disappointed as they believed a better result was within reach.
