Lando Norris e Max Verstappen podem ver amizade acabar por causa de polêmica sobre acidente no GP da Áustria.

Lando Norris and Max Verstappen may be involved in a fierce battle on the track following the collision at the Austrian Grand Prix. Red Bull had high expectations of achieving a remarkable result in front of their home crowd. Verstappen started strong in pole position and seemed poised to secure a commanding victory in Austria. However, an unfortunate incident with Norris cost the Dutchman the race win. Norris expressed concerns that their friendship may be greatly affected by this incident.

Norris’ McLaren car demonstrated impressive speed and had the potential to win the race. However, Verstappen vigorously defended against the British driver after a problematic pit stop by Red Bull. This resulted in contact between the two, leading to punctures in both their tires. As a result, another driver took advantage of the situation and secured an easy victory.

Norris did not hold back in reflecting on the incident. The 24-year-old driver stated that the future of their friendship depended on Verstappen’s response to the accident. Norris emphasized that if Verstappen refused to take responsibility for the incident, it would harm their relationship. However, if the current world champion accepted the blame, Norris would be willing to continue their friendship.

Despite Norris retiring from the race, both drivers received a time penalty after the incident. The British driver was extremely dissatisfied with the unfortunate contact that ended both their races. However, Norris remains hopeful for better performances in the upcoming races.

Norris emphasized that he would continue to fulfill his duties despite the violation of the rules. Consequently, he mentioned that he needed to persevere and continue to do commendable work in the 2024 season. The 24-year-old driver expressed his anticipation for the British Grand Prix and his determination to perform at his best in front of the local crowd.

McLaren has shown significant improvement in performance since the beginning of the season. Woking is on the verge of matching, if not surpassing, the dominant pace of Red Bull this season. Therefore, the upcoming races promise to be filled with excitement and intense battles between these highly skilled drivers at the forefront.
