Christian Horner zomba da habilidade de Toto Wolff em recrutar o pai de Max Verstappen, Jos Verstappen, para a Mercedes.

Christian Horner and Jos Verstappen had several verbal discussions this year. Toto Wolff, Max Verstappen with Jos Verstappen, and Christian Horner in the circle. The team boss at the start of the 2024 season faced accusations that sparked rumors about the possibility of the team’s star driver leaving. This caught Horner’s attention, who saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation. Despite several discussions, Horner sarcastically responded to Wolff’s attempts and suggested that he should hire someone else instead.

Speculations about Max Verstappen’s future with Red Bull were high during the team’s home race in Austria. This led to questions about Christian Horner’s involvement in the rumors and the potential relationship between Jos Verstappen and Toto Wolff.

In response, Horner mocked the rumors about Wolff and Verstappen with a sarcastic comment. Horner dismissed the possibility of the 26-year-old driver moving to Brackley. He then suggested that if Wolff really wants Verstappen as a Mercedes driver next year, he should consider appointing the current champion’s father to a prestigious position.

While Horner dealt with accusations about Verstappen’s potential move to their rivals, the team’s performance in the Sprint qualifying was disappointing. Verstappen qualified in an unsatisfactory P7, over a second behind his teammate.

This disappointing performance left the Mexican driver extremely frustrated. Perez expressed his frustration on the radio, blaming someone he felt had hindered him during the race.

Despite Perez’s anger, the Mercedes cars qualified behind him. With the reduced distance in the sprint race and the European F1 season in full swing, the former six-time race winner faces a significant challenge to move up in the pack. Red Bull’s position in the constructors’ championship may be in serious danger if Perez does not regain his form.
